During the memorable Lord’s Supper on the eve before His crucifixion, Jesus inaugurated this New Covenant:
“On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.”
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NLT
Paul (along with some others) was called and commissioned to be a minister of this New Covenant.
“He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.”
2 Corinthians 3:6 NLT
“The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
John 6:63 NLT
Jesus Christ is the Mediator of this New Covenant.
“You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.”
Hebrews 12:24 NLT
“But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.”
Hebrews 8:6 NLT
“When God speaks of a “new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.”
Hebrews 8:13 NLT
“Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.”
Hebrews 10:9-10 NLT

Since the fall of Adam and Eve God was waiting for this. Now Jesus has come. That willing self sacrifice of Jesus gives God all judicial and moral authority to implement every provision He kept in readiness since before the world was. It gives Him authority and freedom to use any of His divine powers to help bring His pilgrim children home.
This is a huge change. Our lives with God are now turbocharged. Are divinely energised. There is the amazing Grace of God, free Grace, by which God reconciled the world to Himself through the ultimate self-sacrifice of Jesus. There is the precious sacred blood of Jesus by means of which there is the full pardon and blotting away of our sins. There is the Holy Spirit in His unmodified divine energies. There is the adoption into the Family of God. Born of God. United with Christ. Transformed into the image of Jesus. There is God’s righteousness given as a gift to all who believe. There is the way of faith which turns our hopes into substance. Jesus said: Abide in me and I in you. And then, there are countless gifts and favours and graces and the exceeding great and precious promises freely given to enable us to participate in Christ’s divine nature, and provide all that is needed as we walk on this narrow and upward way. Going home.
