An Appeal

The first words about the Sabbath on the earth made new, are “from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, says the Lord.”

I implore you from the depth of my heart, if you are not doing it already – start worshiping God and His Son Jesus on the Sabbath. You will be surprised and enriched. Make that decision today. That will please them and reflect huge blessings back on you.

Sabbath is a divine institution, created and prepared by God to be the richest gift for the uplifting and happiness of His earthly children. It is endowed with splendour and glory and holiness which are beyond compare. If you cast your mind back to the breathtaking substance this Sabbath article expresses, the awesome powers of Creation and Redemption, the sublime Majesty and Grandeur of Father God the Creator and Jesus Christ the Redeemer, having designed this institution to share themselves, their vision, objectives, and eternity with us – let us with reverence, devotion and gratitude accept this priceless gift – and give loyalty and allegiance to the Father and the Son – for they are worthy.

What an Awesome Amazing God we have!

Thank You dear Father for the Sabbath day.

Thank You our Holy Majestic God for Your Breathtaking Saving Grace which Saved us through the triumphant Merits of Jesus.

Earlier, we understood that the Sabbath is God’s vehicle which carries the message of God’s power in Creation, and Christ’s Glory in Redemption. It is a time enduring messenger which will continue its mandate eternally. Ask yourself a question: Why do we Christians insist that we do not need its voice during the Christian dispensation. It doesn’t make sense. If the Sabbath was allowed to faithfully spread its message, every single atheist and evolutionist and infidel would have to hang his head in shame. Whoever came up with the Sunday worship idea will have a very high price to pay.

Pause here for a moment and try to compare the riches and wealth of the seventh day Sabbath, contrasting it with the ordinariness and emptiness of Sunday, the first day of the week. However you look at this issue, it doesn’t make sense to worship on Sunday during the Christian dispensation, and then go back again to Sabbath on the earth made new. Sunday has nothing going for it when compared to the seventh day. Worshiping on Sunday goes against God’s will and His ways. If Sunday was right, why then not worship on Sundays on the earth made new. No. It doesn’t fit. Sunday was never right.

““Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.”

Exodus 20:8 NLT

In Scriptures we find that the legalistic, letter-of-the-law mechanical Sabbath keeping is pointless and empty. When Jesus came, such worthless and insulting Sabbath keeping was condemned, and for obvious reasons. While the attention and focus was on the letter and the mechanics of it – the Spirit of the Sabbath and its grand divine institution, its characteristics set in place and in motion by God Himself – were neglected.

If after reading the evidences presented so far in behalf of this mysterious celestial gift, the remarkable Sabbath day, and have been moved in your heart to honour God by accepting it – then make your move today.

“…“Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.””

Hebrews 4:7 NLT

If you are not already worshiping God on His Sabbath day, I am inviting you to start doing it so. His offer is too rich to throw away.

The first thing you need to do is: stop the work on the seventh day you usually do on the other six days. This will give you time to spend with God. But beware: Mechanical Sabbath keeping is meaningless, pointless and empty. Do it the right way. Do it from the first time. Sabbath is set apart for holy use. God and Jesus Christ are present in every Sabbath. Focus on them. They are holy. Sabbath is about them – not about us. Sabbath is giving us a chance to experience the blessedness of approaching them in reverence and awe. To know the difference between the holy and common. We want to worship them. Not the ‘worship’ word usually attached to the ‘worship hour’ in our churches – but the real worship. The worship experience depicted in heavenly worship as seen in visions by few prophets. God is the Sovereign Lord and Master of everything. We approach Him in humility and devotion worthy of His Holy and exalted Name. Sabbath is especially designed to help with this.

“And I gave them my Sabbath days of rest as a sign between them and me. It was to remind them that I am the Lord, who had set them apart to be holy.”

Ezekiel 20:12 NLT

““Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.”

Exodus 20:8 NLT

Remember and rehearse the memories which the Sabbath carries. Awesome memories of Creation and sublime memories of Redemption. But also the memories of God’s goodness as experienced in our own lives. Share them with other believers. Give glory and gratitude to God.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”

Psalms 107:1 NLT

Immerse yourself wholly in God’s holiness, and don’t look back at the work you usually do during the week. God is taking good care of it. Make most of God’s willingness to share Himself with us through that holy and blessed time. Absorb as much as He gives. He knows your needs. He knows your limitations. He knows your potential. Surrender yourself into His everlasting arms – and enjoy one day of heaven – on Earth. You will hardly wait for the end of next week to do it again. Yes. Life with God is better than the very best this world can offer.

And then – rehearse the blessed hope of the Sabbath on the New Earth – and the new surprises it will bring.

From there on, follow as the Spirit leads. God’s Spirit will lead us into the true kind of Sabbath keeping. God is giving us a taste of heaven. As much of His presence as we are able to absorb. As much of it as we are able to bear.

“Then Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.”

Mark 2:27 NLT

God is doing that for you. For us. Thank you dear Jesus. And let us remember: Sabbath is a day for worship – not one hour for worship. God gives generously.

“The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”

Isaiah 57:15 NLT
